Our Coaching Team

Jerrod Lee, CSCS

Strength and Conditioning Coach

At Prime, I serve as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Seeing people progress physically and mentally is such a rewarding feeling as a coach. I try to have two separate philosophies when it comes to coaching. For programming, my goal is to deliver a stimulus to create adaptations that meet the needs of the given sport. I am adaptable and specific with the prescription I give to each of my athletes. For coaching, my core value is belief. I work with a positive demeanor with the goal of the athlete believing in themselves and in my plan. If an athlete is more confident in the physical attributes of their sport then they are put in a position to succeed.

I received my bachelor’s in social sciences with a minor in Strength and Conditioning from Washington State University, where I competed in track and field - primarily in the Shotput. I grad-transferred to WWU to pursue a masters in Kinesiology which I am currently finishing. I currently hold USAW-level 1, and the CSCS certifications. I am a national level powerlifter and have been competing since my throwing career ended. I also have a deep love of golfing.

Somit Chhim, CSCS

Strength and Conditioning Coach

As a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, I work with people to help them develop proper exercise technique, while also coordinating exercise programs in order to enhance performance. My approach is to be consistently detail oriented when it comes to programming exercises and to treat each part of the workout with the same integrity from start to finish. From the warm-up to the cool down, every part serves a purpose. When all the little things are done right during a training session, the less the athlete must think about during competition. This is what’s going to help you crush any goals that you set.

I earned my Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology with a specialization in Movement Studies from WWU. During my time at WWU I competed in Track and Field specializing in long jump and triple jump. I now work as an assistant coach for Track and Field at Squalicum High School, as a jumps coach. In July 2020, I earned my CSCS certification, knowing this certification would help me to program more effectively for my athletes and help people reach their athletic goals.
